Mid week ratings came about at the request of, and after consultation with, a couple of clients who work on Saturdays and wanted to bet on Wednesdays.
It is the most detailed of those products (exotics & trifectas being the other two) that are designed to give you the maximium help in making wise investment decisions after viewing and assessing the prices prior to race start time.
It has a different format from Saturday’s information, in that it covers all 3 of our normal products (standouts, exotics and trifectas) and unlike Saturday selections where we cull the races and chances, it covers every race for two selected meetings.
Over Winter at least one of these tracks will most likely be Brisbane, as the good horses are there for Brisbane's Winter Carnival, and the weather is almost guaranteed to be fine.
We will not give you esoteric & complex rating figures that require a knowledge of our process, but in worksheet format will simply tell you how many lengths we believe are between each of the top 5 horses. You can make up your own mind as to how many lengths constitutes a “standout” - we suggest 2.5 – 3 lengths.
For exotic punters you work off the top 4 to 5 selections.
For Trifecta punters the selections continue 8 deep with the last runners in each race being presented in our now well known and highly profitable asterisk method (any horse with an asterisk is rated at least 1 length superior to the next horse).
Lastly and most importantly the “Prophet” will add his expert comments as to each race’s betting suitablilty for making profits. This could range anywhere from forget this race and have a cup of tea, to advice on straight out, quinellas, trifectas and what to do as legs of a double or treble with the race.
Other information on the work sheet includes the spread of the race (difference in lengths between the top & bottom rated horses in the race) and ideal barrier positions.
Email with hot link to file is sent out on Tuesday evening and the full information is uploaded for viewing and or printing, after final scratchings & morning prices at around 10.30am.(Queensland time) on Wednesday.
After the races the file is updated with results and comments on the "Prophets" recommendations.
